Attention Practices
An online course in attention, in eight sessions.
Something has happened to the way we pay attention. You can feel it when you try to read a book, write a difficult email, or have a real conversation. Most of what's on offer tries to make attention easier. This course teaches something else: how to attend more truly to fewer things.
Each session thinks with a philosopher, poet, novelist or artist, from Iris Murdoch to Georges Perec, and ends with exercises you can do in words, drawings or photographs. It's taught at Master's level, and no qualifications are needed.
The first session, The Art of Attention, is free. The full course opens in January 2027.
